Measuring 22m in length and with a wing sail 40m high Emirates Team New Zealand’s new AC72 catamaran was truly a sight to see when launched on the 21 July.
Capable of reaching 50 knots in optimum conditions this new era in Americas Cup racing demonstrates how far technology has come in the last few years.
